Physical Demand Analysis
A Physical Demand Analysis is an objective and systematic procedure to identify the demands of a specific job. The demands of a job can include: Basic physical demands (lifting, carrying, pushing & pulling), mobility requirements (walking & climbing), sensory and perceptual demands (hearing & vision), vocational requirements and environmental conditions (exposure to heat, cold, & vibrations). Each demand is considered separately and in combination with job components. This information is critical in designing and implementing specific work conditioning programs, functional abilities evaluations, goal setting, establishing rehabilitation time frames, setting up return to work plans, hiring requirements, job modifications, establishing training & prevention programs, job & tool design, etc.
Ergonomic Assessment
Provides recommendations regarding specific alterations to the workplace, to ensure a safe working environment. Recommendations may include modifications to the physical characteristics to the work site, behavioral changes to the employee, environmental adaptations, job re-structuring and work activities modification.
Educational Seminars
Provides a combined approach of lectures, demonstrations and work shops in the areas of Ergonomics, Body Mechanics, or Anatomy. These sessions can be tailor made to suit a specific working environment and it's particular areas of difficulty.
